restoration proclamation + memorization cards FREE printables

Oh. My. Goodness. April General Conference was phenomenal! It was really powerful to gather as Saints despite the unique circumstances we were in. I felt like a lot of the distractions I face during General Conference just … went away. I was supposed to be in Salt Lake with my roommate over Spring Break this weekend, but life had other plans for me. Nevertheless, I’m so grateful I could spend this General Conference at home with my family. A definite highlight of this General Conference was hearing President Nelson read the restoration proclamation.

All the words felt familiar and brought me back to my time serving as a missionary. I thought of the hundreds of times I taught the lesson of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The words in the restoration proclamation paralleled so many of the words I spoke to hundreds of people, many of whom became close friends.

Right away I started creating plans to begin studying this restoration proclamation. I just completed a project of re-memorizing The Family: A Proclamation to the World for Institute. As I did, each phrase confirmed the truth of those words, and I felt so much comfort from its teachings. And so, I thought I should take this opportunity to create cards to use for memorizing this restoration proclamation.

Any individual, family, or group could benefit from studying and memorizing this amazing document. Immediately I thought of all the missionaries who are in quarantine, both the newly-released missionaries at home, and those in the field who are staying in their apartments. A sure way to brighten any missionary’s day is with an email with shiny new material to study! And by internalizing the way prophets and apostles have taught these truths, their teaching will doubtlessly be enhanced.

Luckily, though, this isn’t just for missionaries. This isn’t even just for members. The restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ is for everybody, because His gospel is for everybody. I think my favorite characteristic of the restoration proclamation is how it focuses so much on Jesus Christ and the fact that this is His church and His gospel.

You can download a full 8.5×11 PDF with the entire restoration proclamation here.

You can download a PDF with quarter-page size memorization cards that break it down one paragraph at a time here.

What are your favorite aspects of the restoration proclamation?

I've been reflecting on this past year, and the wo I've been reflecting on this past year, and the word keeps coming to mind is JOY.
2020 has been crazy and hard, but in the midst of struggle and fear and disappointment, I've felt so much peace and joy.
Without Jesus Christ, I honestly don't know where I'd be or how I would've gotten where I am.
The only reason I haven't fallen apart when I've been spread so thin and pushed so far is because of the hope and assurance of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is joy. He embodies eternal peace, a brightness of hope, and everlasting happiness.
What are you doing to feel that joy this Christmas?

Aren't mountains amazing? ⛰️ Over Thanksgivin Aren't mountains amazing? ⛰️
Over Thanksgiving I got to drive from Idaho to California, and saw so many beautiful mountains along the way - especially in Utah and Arizona.
God has created such a gorgeous world for us, and as I marveled at these mountains, valleys, and canyons, I thought about all the ways mountains symbolize God's power.
He's steady and constant. He elevates us and raises us up. He's incomprehensibly powerful, but we can also come to know him intimately as we walk with him day by day.
How do you come to know God more closely?

I'm so grateful the current young women and young I'm so grateful the current young women and young men leaders chose an inspired theme for the youth of the church - and the rest of us - to focus on in 2021. There are so many great phrases in D&C 64:33, but the focal point for 2021 is "a great work".
It's not the weariness, not the building, not the small things. Instead of dwelling on the struggle of the journey, our focus is on the goal and the exciting path we're on to get there!
This gorgeous poster is available in 6 different sizes so you can print the perfect size for displaying or sharing so that every youth can be reminded of the great work they're a part of.
